During the entire month of February the camellia blooms are at their peak. Sponsored by the American Camellias Society, the Festival of Camellias is a celebration of vibrant colors.
The festival features floral workshops, Senior Citizen Days (on Tuesdays), camellia plant sales and more. Self-guided tours are available daily.
Massee's landscaped greenhouse is a delightful place to enjoy camellia blossoms as is the tea house in the Abendroth Japanese Garden. A gift shop offers camellia accessories and plants. Admission to the gardens is $5.
